Evergreens are often misunderstood. They are ready for more independence and growth and typically pruned too harshly. At Kitsap Life Academy we will support your child in their academic learning and help them find themselves on their road to adulthood.
Seasonal Study
About every 4-6 weeks we will be focusing on a new theme related to farm life and relevant to the season. Through this study we will explore core academics and creative expression in an experiential way - using the farm as our laboratory for learning.
Experiential Learning
Our program is designed to keep your child engaged by using all five senses to discover, learn, and reflect. Students will use these experiences to synthesize their learning and ultimately be able to apply this learning to all aspects of life.
Practical Skills
Evergreens will be engaging in all aspects of life on the farm, ultimately building resilience and grit. We will get dirty, sweaty, tired, and cold, but we will have fun and learn while doing it.
Social Skills
Being in an intentional community means practicing conflict resolution, kindness, collaboration, and compassion. Evergreens are encouraged to use their self-expression and passions to guide and support their learning
Leadership Skills
Evergreens are leaders for all. They are preparing for unguided independence and will be supported in holding themselves accountable as role models and teachers for younger ages.
